The LA Lakers and Indiana Pacers meet Friday in NBA action at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Lakers vs Pacers prediction.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in great shape as they've won seven of their last nine games overall and they will be gunning for a sixth straight win after routing the Grizzlies in a 136-124 road win on Wednesday. Rui Hachimura led the team with 32 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks on 11 of 14 shooting, LeBron James racked up a triple-double of 23 points with 14 reboudns and 12 assists, D'Angelo Russell scored 23 points while Austin Reaves tallied 13 points with 11 assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 55 percent from the field and 18 of 33 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 37 points in the first quarter to take the early lead and they just kept their foot on the gas, outscoring the Grizzlies in every quarter to lead by as many as 27 points at one stage.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in decent shape as they've won three of their last five games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Bulls in a 125-99 road loss on Wednesday. Andrew Nembhard led the team with 18 points, Pascal Siakam added 14 points with eight rebounds and five assists while Tyrese Haliburton chipped in with 13 points and five assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 40 percent from the field and 13 of 42 from the 3-point line, but they just weren't ready for the early onslaught from the Bulls and were always fighting an uphill battle after getting outscored by 64-43 in the first half. Aaron Nesmith had a rough game as he shot just two of 11 from the field for his six points while Haliburton shot just four of 15 from the field.

• Tyrese Haliburton ranks 1st amongst qualified players for assists per game (11.0) this season.

• Aaron Nesmith ranks 3rd in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for 3P% (43.4%) this season.

• The Pacers rank 1st in the league for points per game this season (122.9).

• The Pacers rank 1st in the league for assists per game this season (30.6).

• The Lakers rank 30th in the league for offensive rebounds per game this season (8.1).

• The Lakers rank 30th in the league for opponent field goal attempts per game this season (94.2). The Lakers could be missing a couple key players for this one, with Anthony Davis and LeBron James both listed as questionable, while the Pacers are still missing Bennedict Mathurin. The Lakers are coming into this meeting with plenty of momentum with seven wins in their past nine outings, and they looked great in their win over the Grizzlies despite playing without Davis. It's no surprise that the Pacers open as favorites with the injury cloud hanging over the Lakers. This is a game where you want to check the lineups before tipoff, but as it stands, I see plenty of value with the Lakers as the underdogs in this spot.
