Judge rejects Ballard lawsuit to force Indiana Election Commission meeting
A judge has rejected Greg Ballard's lawsuit that tried to force the Indiana Election Commission to meet. A Marion County judge has denied a lawsuit by secretary of state candidate Greg Ballard, who is running under the Lincoln Party label, to force the Indiana Election Commission to meet to consider campaign finance complaints against the campaigns of Republican Max Engling and Democrat Beau Bayh. The judge stated that Ballard did not provide evidence demonstrating how he would be harmed by the commission deciding not to meet, nor did he demonstrate a reasonable likelihood of success at trial. The commission has since scheduled a meeting on Nov. 20 after Election Day.
