Mike Braun has launched a webinar series, "Keep Indiana," to help small businesses plan for succession and keep jobs in the state. The initiative was launched in May and aims to help businesses evaluate options for transitioning their companies while preserving their future in Indiana. The first free webinar, set for Nov. 2, will cover three business succession strategies: family office, employee ownership, and entrepreneurship through acquisition. Over half of Indiana business owners are age 55 or older, representing over $200 billion in annual revenue, according to a report commissioned by the state's Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Rural counties may face challenges due to high concentration of aging business owners and fewer resources to transition businesses to new ownership.
