The fatal hit-and-run happened just feet from the entrance. Driver Franck Bazil was arrested for the crime and entered the country illegally from Haiti. RJ's family is urging the installation of speed bumps to prevent another tragedy like this. Currently, only slow down signs are present for wildlife crossings. The community is reviewing potential changes around the property to address concerns and determine appropriate steps.
