What's the building with the golden domes on I-74?
The Gurdwara Sikh Satsang is home to Central Indiana's oldest Sikh congregation. Gurdwara Sikh Satsang of Indianapolis has been crowned, more than five months after it opened. Four of the five golden domes have been installed on top of the gurdwar, a place of worship for Indianapolis' oldest Sikh congregation. The ceremony and installation took place on Oct. 5. The domes were made and shipped from India but their arrival in the U.S. was delayed due to the impact on shipping routes from the Iran war and other reasons. The gilded domes symbolize three key ideas: spiritual purity, aesthetics and architectural harmony.
