2 people shot on city’s east side
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 6800 block of E. 21st Street on reports of a person shot at 6 p.m. The Budget 8 Inn is located here. Two people were shot at on the east side of Indianapolis on the night of Thursday evening, near 21st Street and Shadeland Avenue. The victims were found with gunshot injuries, with one of the victims being in critical condition. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department did not provide a medical condition for the other victim.

INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were shot at on the east side of Indianapolis near 21st Street and Shadeland Avenue Thursday evening.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 6800 block of E. 21st Street on reports of a person shot at 6 p.m. The Budget 8 Inn is located here.
Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from gunshot injuries.
One of the victims was reported to be in critical condition. IMPD did not give a condition for the second victim.
