According to the Anderson Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of West 53rd S… One person sustained serious injuries in a crash in Anderson, Indiana, at the intersection of West 53rd Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 6 a.m. on Monday morning. The Anderson Police Department stated that one of the cars involved in the incident had been stopped at a traffic signal before it was hit by a southbound driver. The female sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to an Indianapolis hospital via medical helicopter for treatment. The driver of the stationary car sustained minor injuries. Both drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. As of Monday afternoon, police did not believe intoxication was a factor in the crash.
