INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a person was wounded in a shooting on Indianapolis' south side Thursday evening.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. in the 4100 block of Lake Park Boulevard, which is not far from East Hanna Avenue and South Rural Street.
An IMPD spokesperson said officers investigating a report of a shooting found a victim with an apparent gunshot injury.
The victim was taken to a hospital and was said to be in critical condition, police said.
Police have detained a person of interest in the shooting, but no other information about a possible motive was immediately available.
