The crash occurred around 6 a.m. on Oct. 26 at the intersection of West 53rd Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. A southbound car stopped at a light was hit from behind by another southbound vehicle, causing life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries, while the driver of that other car was uninjured. Both drivers remained at the scene and no signs of impairment were observed at the time.
