Air Canada US Routes 2027: Canada Loses Five Nonstop Links as Louisville, Indianapolis and Newark Gain New Flights
Air Canada cuts five US routes and adds three for summer 2027, changing nonstop travel options between Canada and America. Air Canada is revamping its Canada–US flight network for 2027, removing five routes and introducing three new services for the summer season. The affected routes include those from Montréal, Vancouver, Toronto and Edmonton, with connections to Seattle, Nashville, Raleigh-Durham, Boston and Charleston also withdrawn. Meanwhile, Toronto–Louisville, Montréa–Indianapolis and Edmonton–Newark are set to join the carrier's network. The changes will affect passengers' travel between several Canadian gateways and American destinations. However, their withdrawal dates differ, making it important for passengers to distinguish between services ending in 2026 and those absent from the summer 2027 schedule. Despite these reductions, Air Canada is not abandoning transborder expansion. The airline recorded a 6.8% increase in return trips by US residents from the United States in September 2026.
