Indianapolis public transit bosses are so desperate to justify their taxpayer-funded bus lines that they’ve resorted to fearmongering women Indianapolis public transit CEO, Jennifer Pyrz, has suggested that women are not safe in Uber and Lyft due to fearmongering about local rideshare drivers in an attempt to justify the city's taxpayer-funded bus lines. During an interview with City-County Council candidate Tyler Mitchell, Pyrz claimed that the city’s $2.75 bus fare is safer than private rideshare options and that IndyGo offers professional bus drivers who know how to navigate the city streets. However, Tony Katz, the CEO of IndyGo, responded by criticising Pyrz for smearing hardworking private drivers in a bid to justify an unpopular, government-subsidized system. Katz accused Pyrz of creating a "20th-century solution to a 21st-century problem" by focusing on Uber and driving from point A to point B, highlighting the desperation behind IndyGo's push for expensive rapid bus corridors, including the controversial Red, Purple, and Blue lines.
