Indianapolis Colts Trade All-Pro Guard Quenton Nelson, Opening Rookie's Audition
Nelson's move to the Seattle Seahawks gives Jalen Farmer a chance to seize a larger role on the Colts' remade offensive line. The Indianapolis Colts have traded guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round. This move ends Nelson's nine-year tenure at left guard, creating an immediate question at the position. The move comes eight days after the Colts lost a game against the Minnesota Vikings, dropping their record to 2-5. With Nelson gone, Indianapolis will examine guard Jalen Farmer, who was drafted in the fourth round this spring, who has played behind an established interior group. The trade gives the Colts an opportunity to evaluate Farmer's physicality and consistency, while assessing the rest of their roster.
