National FFA and downtown Indianapolis are ready to grow together
A sea of blue jackets is back downtown for the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo. The 99th National FFA Convention & Expo in downtown Indianapolis is set to attract over 70,000 people and introduce future leaders to the Circle City. The convention, which began in 1928, features competitions, keynotes, workshops, a career expo, and community service projects. The event has been instrumental in downtown development and has remained in Indianapolis since 2006. FFA has extended its Indianapolis convention agreement through 2040, adding seven years to its previous deal. Attendance is expected to reach a record 73,000-plus in 2025, up from the mid-50,000s in the convention's early years. The $40 million annual economic impact is estimated. FAA CEO Scott Stump credits the decision to stay in Indianapolis to accommodate anticipated growth.
