Three large tents were set up in the woods with items such as a bathtub, a couch, and a child’s stroller left behind. The city plans to clean the area up using FEMA funds as the area was impacted by recent flooding. Andrew Merkley, Director of the Indianapolis Office of Public Health and Safety, said the goal is to keep trails clean. There is currently no current living in the area and the people who have been staying there were connected to homeless resources.
