The crash occurred near the intersection of West 53rd Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The driver of the stopped vehicle was hit from behind by another vehicle, causing minor injuries. The passenger, a woman, was taken to a local hospital and then flown to an Indianapolis hospital for further treatment. The other vehicle driver was treated and released. Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The accident remains under investigation.
