Congressional candidates forum set for Anderson

The forum is set for April 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Anderson High School auditorium. The League of Women Voters in the 5th Congressional District will host a forum for the 11 Republicans seeking the party's nomination in the May 7 primary election. The forum will be held at Anderson High School and will be broadcast live on four area radio stations and live streamed on two television stations. The League is partnering with Woof Boom Radio, WXIN/Fox and WTTV/CBS for the moderator. As of Monday, 10 of the 11 candidates have indicated their intentions to attend the forum. The only candidate not currently listed is Chuck Goodrich.

ANDERSON — The League of Women Voters in the 5th Congressional District will host a forum for the 11 Republicans seeking the party’s nomination in the May 7 primary election.

The forum is set for 6-8 p.m. April 4 at the Anderson High School auditorium. It will be broadcast live on four area radio stations and live streamed on the two television stations.

The forum is being sponsored by League members in Madison, Hamilton, Delaware and Howard counties in partnership with Woof Boom Radio, WXIN/Fox and WTTV/CBS.

Steve Lindell with Woof Boom radio will be the moderator.

Linda Hanson, president of the League of Women Voters of Indiana, said the questions for the forum will be submitted by those in attendance and reviewed by League members.

Hanson said as of Monday, 10 of the 11 candidates have indicated their intentions to be in attendance.

The only candidate not currently on the list of attendees is Chuck Goodrich.

Those candidates confirming their attendance include incumbent Victoria Spartz, Jonathan D. Brown, Raju Chinthala, Max Engling, Mark Hurt, Scott King, Patrick Malayter, Matthew Peiffer, JD Powell and Larry Savage Jr.
